What does the consistency checker look for?
It compares your chapter with your canon: your Story Bible if you add one, or what the text establishes earlier. It reports a contradiction only when it can quote both sides: a character detail, an object, a place, a date or duration, or a world rule that conflicts. Things that are only left open, like an objective not yet reached, show as notes and never lower the score. A detail that is new, or not mentioned again, is not counted as an error.
How much text do I need?
At least 500 characters (about a paragraph). The more text you provide, the more thorough the analysis. You can paste up to 50,000 characters (roughly 8,000-10,000 words).
Is my text stored or used for training?
No. Your text is analyzed in real-time and not stored. We do not use submitted text to train language models.
